First dose of vaccine must for students, faculty member

The students and faculty members, who would return to universities and colleges when the institutions reopen on September 1, should mandatorily take at least one dose of COVID vaccine, said the Higher Education Department. The staff who fail to get even one jab would be put on compulsory leave, added the department.

These are part of the newly drafted detailed guidelines to be followed by all higher education institutions to conduct physical classes, which were drafted after a meeting attended by senior Higher Education Department officials and district Collectors.
