NCB busts drug syndicate, three arrested

Officials of the Narctics Control Bureay (NCB) Madurai Sub zone have busted a drug syndicate with the seizure of hashish oil and the arrest of three people in Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu.

NCB Zonal Director, Chennai Zone, Amit Ghawate in a release here today said on the basis of specific intelligence, the officers of NCB, Madurai Sub Zone intercepted a domestic courier parcel suspected to contain Hashish oil at Pudukkottai on Saturday.

After prolonged surveillance was maintained for the receiver of this parcel, and two people, both residents of Pudukkottai, who came to receive the parcel were apprehended.

On examination of the parcel, 620 gm of hashish oil was recovered and seized.

Preliminary enquiries with them revealed that the main receiver was from Coimbatore.
