Director Bala and Muthumalar get divorced after 17 years of togetherness

Bala and his wife Muthumalar (popularly known as Malar) got divorced on March 5 at a family court. Reportedly, they were separated for four years. Bala and Malar filed for divorce by mutual consent. The two are parents to a beautiful baby girl named Prarthana. The news of Bala and Malar’s divorce came as a huge shock to everyone in the industry.

Reportedly, differences cropped up between director Bala and Malar several years ago. Due to this, they had parted ways four years ago. While Bala was concentrating on his work, Malar was often seen hanging out with Jayam Ravi’s wife Aarti, singer Saindhavi and her friends from the industry.
