Amaran Box Office Day 8: Sivakarthikeyan’s Film Rakes in ₹114 Crore in India

After eight days in theatres, the film has reportedly collected ₹114 crore nett in India. As the second weekend approaches, the biographical drama is expected to see a further boost in its earnings. Since its release on October 31, Amaran has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences.
According to box office tracking reports, the film earned approximately ₹5.50 crore nett in India on November 7, bringing its eight-day total to ₹114.60 crore nett. On the same day, it recorded an overall occupancy rate of 29.44%.
The strong word-of-mouth has been pivotal in sustaining Amaran’s success globally. Earlier reports highlighted an impressive four-day opening weekend, during which the film grossed over ₹150 crore worldwide.
Amaran is expected to dominate theatres for another week without facing any significant competition. However, Suriya’s highly anticipated film Kanguva is set to release on November 14, which could impact its run.
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran is a biographical film based on Major Mukund Varadarajan’s life. It draws inspiration from India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, a book series by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. The movie features Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, and Rohman Shawl in prominent roles.
