The film, which has already grossed over 717 million world wide,is just 2 million short of surpassing F9: The Fast Saga ($719 million) to become the 50th highest-grossing live-action film of all time.

Released in November 2024, Wicked has been a box office sensation, benefiting from its holiday release and the star power of its leads. Despite slowing down as it nears the end of its theatrical run and becomes available online, the film continues to perform well. It recently overtook Dune 2 ($714.64 million) to become the fifth highest-grossing film of 2024.

While Wicked is set to surpass F9, it will remain in the #50 spot, as X-Men: Days of Future Past ($747.86 million) holds the 49th position. The film’s upcoming release in Japan in March is expected to boost its global earnings further.
