Director Justin Baldoni has escalated his lawsuit against actress Blake Lively, alleging she pressured him into making changes to It Ends With Us. He claims she issued a ‘veiled threat’ regarding Taylor Swift’s My Tears Ricochet, implying she would withdraw support for the song’s use in the film’s trailer if her demands weren’t met.
Blake Lively’s Alleged Influence Over the Film
According to Baldoni’s lawsuit, filed on January 31, Lively delayed the movie’s marketing strategy and attempted to gain creative control, including rewriting a key rooftop scene. He also suggests her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and an unnamed “megacelebrity friend,” widely believed to be Taylor Swift, played a role in influencing production decisions.

Baldoni Launches Website Amid Legal Battle
In response, Baldoni has created a website to publicly share court filings and shed light on the legal proceedings. He further alleges that Sony Pictures tested two versions of the film, with his version performing better, but Lively pressured It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover to side with her.
Ongoing Lawsuit and Counterclaims
This dispute stems from Lively’s December lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and defamation. Baldoni, in turn, has denied the allegations and filed a $400 million countersuit, accusing her of extortion.
As the legal battle intensifies, the fate of It Ends With Us remains uncertain, with new developments unfolding rapidly.
