Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran Exceeds Expectations, Heading for Major Success

Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran has surpassed all expectations at the Indian box office, with its momentum showing no signs of slowing down. The film has already entered the 100 crore club and is on track to reach 150 crores, with a strong possibility of surpassing Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. Remarkably, Amaran has already recovered its entire production budget through domestic earnings.

For those unfamiliar, Amaran draws parallels to The Greatest Of All Time, where a metaphor shows Thalapathy Vijay passing the baton to Siva. This highlights Sivakarthikeyan’s growing potential as Kollywood’s next superstar, especially with Amaran’s impressive performance in Tamil Nadu.

Despite being seen as a risky project due to its high budget, Amaran stunned audiences by crossing 100 crores within a week. The film continued its upward trajectory into its second week, with a 21.73% increase in earnings, from 5.75 crores on Thursday to 7 crores on Friday. As of day 9, Amaran has grossed 124.30 crores net across all languages in India.

Made on a budget of 120 crores, the film has already earned an ROI of 4.30 crores and is poised to surpass Vettaiyan‘s domestic lifetime collection, cementing its place as one of the top earners of 2024.
