British actor Andrew Garfield has quashed recent rumors suggesting his return to the Marvel universe in the upcoming Spider-Man 4. The 41-year-old actor, known for his portrayal of the web-slinging superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, dismissed the speculation during a candid interview with GQ UK.

“I’m gonna disappoint you. Yeah, no. But I know no one’s gonna trust anything I say from now on,” Garfield admitted, referencing his prior denials about appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Despite initial denials, Garfield made a surprise extended cameo in the 2021 blockbuster alongside Tobey Maguire, delighting fans worldwide.

While Garfield denied involvement in Spider-Man 4, he left the door open for future franchise roles. “If it felt in line with my soul and was gonna be fun, maybe. Maybe I’ll have five kids someday and need to save for tuition,” he quipped.
