Ayyapanum Koshiyum fame Nanjiyamma sings in Tamil cinema

Nanjiyamma, an Adivasi woman of in Attappadi in Kerala surprised all by singing a peppy number in Ayyapanum Koshiyum.

She ekes out a living by grazing goats. In the movie, music director Jakes Bejoy made her sing two songs.

Now the acclaimed singer makes her Kollywood debut. Nanjyamma will be singing a soulful number in Scene No 62 in Tamil. This is her first in Tamil cinema. Besides singing, she has also written the tribal song.

The song Kalakathe has come out well say sources in the unit. The movie is produced Navamugunda and Adam Zamar will be directing it. Music is by GKV. Kathiravan, Amuldev, Gokila Gopi form part of the cast.
Nanjiyamma, is a popular name today in Malayalam music industry.
