Magizh Thirumeni reveals Vidaamuyarchi’s shooting delay due to extreme weather and Ajith Kumar’s surprising take on mass scenes.

Ajith Kumar’s much-anticipated film Vidaamuyarchi is now slated to release on February 6, 2025. While fans eagerly await his first movie in two years, director Magizh Thirumeni recently shared surprising details about the project’s delay during a talk show with host Gopinath.

The director disclosed that the film was initially scheduled for release in May 2024. However, severe winter conditions in Azerbaijan disrupted their shoot schedule. “The region faced unexpected harsh winters, making it impossible to shoot as planned,” said Thirumeni.

The film features Ajith and Arav performing daring stunts, snippets of which were revealed last year through behind-the-scenes footage.

Thirumeni also shared that Vidaamuyarchi will break away from typical “mass” hero tropes. “Ajith sir told me, ‘It’s okay not to depict me as the mass hero here — let’s save that for another film,” he explained, promising a fresh cinematic experience for fans.

Produced by Lyca Productions, the film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and more in key roles. Fans are excited to see this unexpected take from Ajith on the big screen soon.
