Kallan  – Movie Review

Debutant filmmaker Chandra Thangaraj’s Kallan featues aru Pazhaniappan, Nikita, Maya, Soundararaja and Namo Narayanan in key roles. The film has music by K and cinematography by MS Prabu and Gopijegatheeswaran.

The movie is set in Theni. The film speaks about friendship and crime. A gangster flick set in village.

Story
The movie revolves around Karu Pazhaniappan, who takes us hinting for survival after his father’s death. When police stops him from hunting, he illegally makes guns. He follows it up with some petty crimes, which lands him in greater trouble. How he overcomes from them forms the crux.

Performance
Karu Pazhaniappan does well. Nikita is intense and emotional. Namo Narayanan and Soundararaja chip in well. Maya is a surprise addition. She has great talent.K’s background score is apt and reminds one of 80’s Hollywood gangster flicks.
