Crime Thriller Set to Hit Theaters in March 2025
Korean actor Kang Ha-Neul, known for his role in Squid Game 2, is gearing up for his next major project, ‘Streaming’. In the film, he plays Woo Sang, Korea’s top crime channel streamer. However, the actor has a strong message for cyber wrecker YouTubers, who manipulate content for attention.
While promoting the film, Kang emphasized that he hopes audiences understand that Woo Sang’s actions are not justified. “As an actor, I had to portray Woo Sang as if he was right. But if a cyber wrecker like him existed, it would be a problem,” he said.
He added, “If this movie makes people think twice about the countless videos they consume online, then it has served its purpose.”

Speaking about his character, Kang described Woo Sang as an attention seeker. “I wanted him to appear arrogant, excessive, and self-important—like the kind of people I personally dislike. Those who build their lives on lies and pretense.”
His comments come amid rising concerns over cyber wreckers in South Korea. Recently, actress Kim Sae-Ron became a target of online harassment, with defamatory videos allegedly contributing to her distress.
