The South Korean entertainment industry is mourning the loss of actress Kim Sae-Ron, whose untimely death has shocked fans and fellow stars. Kim Sae-Ron, aged 24, was found unresponsive in her apartment on February 16, 2025, and police have confirmed her passing after a friend discovered her.

Several of Kim’s colleagues, including Cha Eun-Woo, Seo Ye-Ji, IU, Ma Dong-Seok, and others, have sent their tributes in the form of floral wreaths to the Asan Medical Center in Seoul, where the funeral will be held privately on February 19, 2025.

One of the first to send his condolences was Won Bin, who worked with Kim in the acclaimed film The Man from Nowhere (2010). He, along with his wife Lee Na Young, honored Kim’s memory with a wreath. Other stars such as Ma Dong-Seok and Gong Myung, as well as entertainment company Eden Nine and K-pop group FT Island, shared heartfelt messages.

The funeral will be held privately, respecting the family’s wishes, but Kim’s influence on the entertainment industry is remembered through the tributes pouring in. The cause of her death is still under investigation, but authorities have confirmed there were no signs of forced entry into her apartment.
