After 13 years in limbo, Vishal’s Madha Gaja Raja (MGR), directed by Sundar C, is finally slated for release on January 12, 2025. The announcement comes as a pleasant surprise for fans who had given up hope of ever seeing the film on the big screen.

Originally completed in 2012, the project faced indefinite delays despite initial trailers and songs like Thumbakki Thumbai gaining traction at the time. The film, produced by Gemini Film Circuit and distributed by Vishal Film Factory, blends comedy, action, and drama in Sundar C’s signature style.
