A Paris photography studio has apologized after releasing viral photos of 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon. The studio claims they were unaware of his celebrity status and had no intention of exposing his private life.

Clarification on the Alleged ‘Proposal’ Incident

A photography studio in Paris has issued a public apology after posting viral photos of 2PM rapper-actor Ok Taecyeon with his girlfriend. The pictures, which showed Taecyeon on one knee with a ring, sparked speculation of a marriage proposal. However, his agency later clarified that the images were taken on his girlfriend’s birthday and had no connection to an engagement.

The photos were initially shared on February 5 by The Best Photo Paris on Instagram, leading to widespread fan reactions. While many congratulated the couple, others pointed out that the images had been online since April 2024. As the photos gained traction, the studio received backlash, prompting them to release a clarification.

In a statement on February 6, the studio explained that they were unaware of Taecyeon’s celebrity status when he booked the session. They stated, “We did not know he was a big Korean celebrity. They booked the session as regular clients, and there was never a request for the photos not to be published.” The studio emphasized that they had no intention of exposing his private life and immediately archived the pictures once the situation escalated.

Taecyeon had publicly confirmed his relationship with his non-celebrity girlfriend in 2020. His agency has assured fans that the viral photos do not indicate an engagement. Meanwhile, the studio has apologized to the couple and requested the public to respect their privacy.
