Plan Panni Pannanum – Movie Review

Plan Panni Pannanum starring Rio Raj, Ramya Nambeesan in the lead roles is a comedy carnival. It is engaging and entertaining in parts. The others in the star cast include MS Bhaskar, Bala Saravanan, Robo Shankar, Thangadurai, Naren, Viji Chandrasekar, Rekha, Santhana Bharathi, Sidharth Vipin, Maarimuthu, and a few others.

Plan Panni Pannanum is directed by Badri Venkatesh and is produced by Rajesh Kumar and L Sinthan of Positive Print Studios LLP. Yuvan Shankar Raja (Music), B Rajashekar (Cinematography), and Sam RDX (Editor) are the main technicians involved in this project.

Story
Sembi (Rio Raj) and Raju (Bala Saravanan) are colleagues turned friends, the latter’s sister eloped with someone, and to know her whereabouts, they kidnap Aambal (Remya Nambeesan) who helped Raju’s sister to run away with her boyfriend.

Sembi and Raju come to know that the latter’s sister is in Aambal’s village and her marriage is about to happen the next day. Now, Raju, Sembi, and Aambal along with two comedy sidekicks (Robo Shankar and Thangadurai) decide to travel from Chennai to a village near Kodaikanal. Can they stop the marriage? Also, can Ambal go to the US to pursue her ambition?

Performance

Rio has done his part well. Comedy suits well for him. Ramya Nambeesan appears all through. Bala Saravanan and Robo Shankar are passable in comical roles. Music by Yuvan is a let down.
