Spider-Man Star Faces Unexpected ID Issue at Target

Tom Holland may be known for playing Spider-Man, but even superheroes face everyday struggles. In a humorous turn of events, the 28-year-old actor recently shared how he was almost denied the purchase of his own non-alcoholic beer, Bero, due to an ID verification issue.

A Not-So-Smooth Shopping Trip

On February 18, Tom took to Instagram to share a series of videos documenting his experience. The actor, who launched Bero in late 2023, was excited to see his product on store shelves. “I haven’t been in the States in a while,” he said, embarking on a mission to find Bero in Target stores. After two unsuccessful attempts, he finally found it in the third store but soon faced an unexpected hurdle.

The store refused to accept his English ID, preventing him from proving his age. A helpful employee eventually stepped in, using their own ID to complete the purchase. Tom jokingly called the incident “kind of ironic” and quipped that it made his day more “exciting.”

Bero’s Special Touch

Holland launched Bero in 2024, promoting it in a Target ad where he named one of the beers ‘Noon Wheat’ in honor of Zendaya’s 9-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Noon. Despite the shopping mishap, his brand continues to gain popularity.
