Vidaamuyarchi Enters Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films of 2025
Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi is proving its box office strength despite mixed reviews and an early dip in collections. The film, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, has shown resilience, recording a solid ₹93-95 crore globally in just four days.
After a strong opening at ₹26 crore, the film faced a 61% drop on Day 2 but rebounded over the weekend. Saturday and Sunday collections stood at ₹13.5 crore each, while Day 4 added approximately ₹13 crore, according to trade reports. The film’s Tamil version continues to dominate, contributing significantly to its earnings.

Despite its Telugu release as Pattudala, the film has failed to make an impact in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, earning only ₹1.5 crore in four days. Occupancy rates also highlight this trend, with Tamil screenings recording 45.95%, while Telugu shows struggled with just 13.29%.
With a total domestic collection of ₹62.75 crore and an international tally of ₹32.3 crore, Vidaamuyarchi has become the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025. It has also entered the top five Indian films of the year, alongside Sankranthiki Vasthunam, Game Changer, Sky Force, and Daaku Maharaaj.
Trade analysts predict that Vidaamuyarchi could continue its strong run, especially with limited competition until February 21. However, Monday’s performance will be crucial in determining if the film can sustain its momentum and cross the ₹100 crore mark soon.
