7 Bangladeshi nationals arrested in Cuddalore

Seven Bangladeshi nationals, including three women, were detained in on Friday and sources said a detailed probe has been launched to find out whether they had terror links.

Following a tip-off from a Central agency, the seven were detained by the police and were being questioned in coordination with the agency officials.

There are four men, three women and two children in the group. ‘It is being ascertained if they entered the country through legal means and whether their stay is authorised,’ officials said.

Questioning is being conducted and the outcome of verification process would determine the future course of action, they added.
