Covid-19: India records 12,428 new cases and 356 deaths

With 12,428 fresh infections, India’s Coronavirus caseload rose to 3,42,02,202 today.

According to Union Health Ministry data updated this morning, the country’s Covid-19 death toll climbed to 4,55,068 with 356 fresh fatalities.

The active cases declined to 1,63,816. Also, 11,31,826 tests were conducted on Monday, taking the total cumulative tests conducted so far for detection of Covid-19 in the country to 60,19,01,543.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,35,83,318, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.33 per cent.

The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 102.94 crore.
