Covid-19: India records 15,981 new cases and 166 deaths

With 15,981 fresh infections, India’s Coronavirus caseload rose to 3,40,53,573 today.

According to Union Health Ministry data updated this morning, the country’s Covid-19 death toll climbed to 4,51,980 with 166 new fatalities.

The number of active Covid cases has declined to 2,01,632 and the number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,33,99,961.

A total of 9,23,003 tests were conducted on Friday, taking the cumulative tests conducted so far for detection of Covid in the country to 58,98,35,258.
