Covid-19: India records 36,401 new cases and 530 deaths

With 36,401 fresh infections, India’s Coronavirus caseload rose to 3,23,22,258 today.

According to Union Health Ministry data updated this morning, the country’s Covid-19 death toll climbed to 4,33,049 with 530 more fatalities.

The Ministry said that active cases have declined to 3,64,129, the lowest in 149 days. The Ministry said that 18,73,757 tests were conducted on Wednesday, taking the total tests conducted so far for detection of Covid-19 in the country to 50,03,00,840.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease has increased to 3,15,25,080. Cumulatively, 56.64 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive so far.
