Goondas Act invoked against YouTuber ‘PUBG’ Madhan
7 July 2021, 4:32 pmYouTuber Madhan Manickam better known as ‘PUBG’ Madhan, who is a remand prisoner in the Puzhal central jail here after being arrested by the Cyber wing of the Chennai police, was booked under the Goondas Act.
The Goondas Act will enable the authorities to keep Madhan in prison for one year. He can file an appeal in the court against this within three months of receiving the notice.
Madhan, who is Civil engineering dropout, had launched YouTube channels, ‘Toxic Madan 18+’, ‘Madan’, ‘Richie Gaming’, ‘Madhan’ and ‘PUBG Madan girl fan’ and was uploading abusive content thus gaining huge popularity and thereby earning good money. After receiving several complaints, the police arrested Madan from the residence of his relative at Dharmapuri, Salem on June 18.
