Hindus, Muslims living in India have same ancestors, Britishers divided them: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

Hindus and Muslims living in India have the same ancestors but Britishers divided them by creating misconceptions among them, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has said.

Speaking at a symposium on the topic of ‘Rashtra Pratham – Rashtra Sarvopari’ in Mumbai on Monday, the RSS Chief said that Britishers told Muslims that they won`t get anything if they decided to live with Hindus.

“Britishers told Muslims that only Hindus will be elected and exhorted them to demand a separate (nation). They said Islam will disappear from India. Did it happen? No. Muslims can hold all posts,” Bhagwat said.
