Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Priyanka Vadra arrested for disobeying prohibitory orders

The Hargaon Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district on Tuesday (October 5, 2021) arrested Priyanka Gandhi Vadra after she was booked along with 10 others for disobeying prohibitory orders. FIR was lodged against 11 people including Congress leaders Deependra Hooda and Ajay Kumar Lallu, SHO Hargaon Police Station, Sitapur district, was quoted as saying by ANI.

The case, as per reports, has been filed under Sections 151, 107 and 116, on a report given by the station house officer of Hargaon to the magistrate. According to reports, the PAC guest house where Priyanka was under detention since Monday morning in Sitapur, has been notified as a temporary jail.

This is to be noted that Priyanka was detained while she was going to visit the family of the victims of people killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.
