As Covid cases increase in some places, TN to intensify testing

With Covid cases witnessing slight increase in some districts, the State Health department has decided to intensify testing and tracking.

According to Health Secretary Dr J Radhakrishnan, “We are asking all districts to increase tests despite reduction in cases. There decline has slowed down in some districts and some others were showing a marginal increase in positivity rate.”

Tamilnadu reported less than 2000 fresh cases for the second day on Tuesday, which pushed the case tally to 25.39 lakh.
