Leopard knocked down to death by speeding vehicle in TN

In a shocking incident, an one-year-old female leopard was knocked down to death by a speedng vehicle on the on Palani-Kodaikanal ghat section in Dindigul dsitrict of Tamil Nadu on Thursday.

Talking to reporters, Forest officials said on receiving information, a team rushed to the spot and conducted preliminary inquiry which revealed that the animal could have been hit by a speeding vehicle
late last night on Wednesday.

The officials were analysing the CCTV footages and had registered a case to ascertain the vehicle which had knocked down the carnivore.

However, what is more shocking is that in the event of the alleged delay in removing the carcass of the leopard from the spot, wild boars from the forest area were seen dragging the prey, which was videographed by the tourists travelling to the hill station and and it went viral on the social media.
