Modi condoles OPS’ wife death

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit have condoled the death of P Vijayalakshmi, wife of former Chief Minister and AIADMK coordiantor O Panneerselvam.

In a letter to Panneerselvam, Modi said he was saddened to know about the demise of Vijayalakshmi and expressed deep condolence.

In his message, Purohit said the sad demise of Vijayalakshmi fills me with huge shock and grief.

“The passing away of your beloved wife who was caring, kind and supportive since your wedding as a life partner is a great loss,” he said.

“In this hour of grief, I extend my sincere condolences to Panneerselvam and to the bereaved family members,” he said, according to a Raj Bhavan communique.
