TamilSL Navy arrests 21 Indian fishers, seize 2 boats

The Sri Lankan Navy arrested 21 fishermen, hailing from this district ofn Tamil Nadu and confiscated their two mechanized fishing trawlers on charges
of illegal poaching in the Island nation’s territorial waters in the wee hours of today.
Preliminary reports quoting State fisheries officials said the fishermen were fishing near
the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) close to the Sri Lankan waters, when they were apprehended by the Lankan navy.
