Steps intensified to prevent dengue, Zika: Subramanian

Health Minister M Subramanian has said the government has intensified fumigation to prevent dengue and ‘Zika’ virus in the State.

“The district collectors have been asked to work for the prevention of mosquito breeding as cases of Zika virus have been reported in Kerala. The precautions being taken for dengue are being followed up for Zika virus spread also and all the districts have been instructed to ensure that the cases are in control,” he said.

On the vaccination front, he said Tamilnadu received 1.60 crore Covid doses till date including five lakh vials which arrived late on Saturday.
